Happy Birthday to Us, Happy Birthday to Us… And Free Pizza for You!

We have thoroughly enjoyed our first 3 years as owners of Pizzeria Venti. It has been an exciting venture for our family, and we are so grateful to our customers — our friends. We are thrilled to be a part of the Buckhead and Brookhaven neighborhoods and we look forward to serving you for many more years!

Have you been to Italy? Many of our guests tell us that our handmade pizza — made with imported Italian water — tastes just like they remember pizza from Italy. And they say they haven’t had gelato as good as ours since they visited Italy. That’s exactly what we strive to bring to Atlanta! Come try both our pizza and gelato, and let us know what you think!

1,145 tweets later, I realize, Twitter has been alternately frivolous and deep for me. When @Carl tweeted that police were collecting donations outside the Krispy Kreme, I laughed at the implication the police were buying donuts with the donations! A few weeks ago, [...]]]> On February 24th, @PVATL (that’s me) first tweeted. “Have you tried a Timpanini yet?”

1,145 tweets later, I realize, Twitter has been alternately frivolous and deep for me. When @Carl tweeted that police were collecting donations outside the Krispy Kreme, I laughed at the implication the police were buying donuts with the donations! A few weeks ago, I honestly cried at several links from @TehranBureau. What started as a way to connect with the local community has also shown an immediacy to chaos a world away.

In the local community, one of my favorite things about Twitter is seeing the divergent political opinions. When I read politically inspired tweets from @pkelly99, I always wonder what @colombiancoffee would think — and what he would think of her tweets. It fascinates me that obviously intelligent people come to such different conclusions, and it challenges me to refine my thoughts on the subjects of their tweets.

Brian and I also love seeing comments about our delicious pizza from @JenDelgadoCNN or about our awesome gelato from @KaaSerpent or @Gigibell. We truly appreciate the recommendations as we try to establish our new restaurant.

We’re so glad to have met @StephanieALloyd and @Keppie_Careers. They hosted our first tweetup last week! And they are holding a series of job search interventions at Pizzeria Venti this month. We’ve really enjoyed working with them.

Several of our Twitter followers — including the wonderful @ATLCheap — have helped spread the word about our menu items, including our new kid’s menu.

All of this to say we want to show a little love for our Twitter followers. And so, watch for upcoming “Twitter Thursday” specials from your pals at Pizzeria Venti.
